Terms and Conditions

Booking:
All bookings require a deposit of £100. The final balance is due 4 weeks before the date of arrival. If the final balance is not paid on the due date we will advise by guest email or text the booking is cancelled and the deposit payment forfeited. For bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival full payment is required at time of booking.

Cancellations:
If the booking is cancelled prior to the balance having been paid 75% of the deposit is refundable, £25 will be forfeited as an administration fee. The cancellation must be made via email more than 28 days prior to the arrival to receive £75 of the deposit refunded. Cancellations made within 28 days of arrival, where the full balance has been paid will only receive a refund if the property is subsequently relet. Every effort will be made to relet the date(s) but this could be at a price which is less than the original rental. A £50 admin fee will be deducted from the total refund. We strongly recommend taking out appropriate cover to protect against cancellation. For cancellation imposed by CV-19, or other late illness or injury the same terms apply.

Amendments:
A booking can be amended to a new date(s), a new rate would be calculated which could mean the booking is higher or lower in value than it was previously. Date changes must be requested by email with a minimum of 14 days’ notice and will incur a £25 admin fee.

Children:
I am afraid heft view cannot cater for children.

Arrival & Departure Times:
In order that the property can be thoroughly cleaned and prepared by our professional housekeeper for the next arrival, departure time is strictly by 10:00am with arrival being from 4:00pm. If the holiday accommodation is not vacated by the designated departure time, we reserve the right to charge for overstaying by up to £25 per hour after the designated departure time. An early check-in may be possible after 12noon, and a standard charge of £25 will be added. A ‘bag drop’ before 4pm may also be possible, and a standard charge of £10 will be added.

Personal belongings:
Vehicles, baggage and personal belongings are at the guests’ risk. heft view has a slide lock on the inside of the bedroom door for privacy when Guests are in heft view. A coded safe is provided in heft view for Guests’ use.

Dogs:
I am afraid we cannot cater for dogs.

Smoking:
heft view @ rose cottage is non-smoking and vaping, we respectfully insist guests do not smoke anywhere indoors or in the garden. If any evidence of guests doing so is found, a de-odorising charge of £200 will be charged.

Damages & Breakages:
Guests are responsible for looking after the property during their stay and must leave it clean and tidy. All breakages, damages or soilage must be reported and charged for accordingly.

Travel Insurance:
We recommend you take out holiday / travel insurance in case of cancellation.

Lost property:
Please make every effort to ensure you remove all clothing and belongings at the end of your holiday. We will return items to you on receipt of full payment for postage plus £15 handling and packing charge. Items not claimed after 28 days will be discarded.
Liability:
The use of outside garden furniture, and parking is at risk of the guest and no responsibility can be accepted for any injury or damage to belongings.

The Village Green:
Guests are welcome to use the Village Green however heft view cannot accept any no responsibility for any injury/accident. The green is the responsibility of Allithwaite & Newton-in-Cartmel Parish Council.

Breakfast:
heft view is happy to make recommendations for breakfast however we do not accept any responsibility in respect of any bookings etc.

BBQs or outside cooking:
In Guests using the garden at heft view, I am afraid we cannot allow the use of BBQs or outside cooking of any type. Thank you.
